About Us

Hostel Nature is more than a place to stay, it’s a home with history.

This house was built in 1951, and for generations it has been part of our family’s life. Today, I am the fourth generation to live here, and the first to open its doors of Hostel Nature, transforming a family home into a welcoming space for travelers from all over the world.

Our vision was never to create just another accommodation. We wanted to preserve the soul of the house while adapting it carefully for modern travelers, keeping what matters most: warmth, authenticity, and human connection. Every corner carries stories, memories, and a deep respect for the past, combined with a genuine desire to host people in a simple, honest way.

Being a family-run project, Hostel Nature is built on presence, care, and attention to detail. We believe that hospitality starts with listening, continues with support, and is completed by making guests feel truly at home, not just accommodated.

Here, you may cross paths with the whole family — from me and my wife to the three dragons (yes, that’s what I call my three boys, and I’ll happily explain why in person). It’s a small, personal touch that reflects something very big for us.

Hostel Nature has just four rooms, intentionally kept small so we can truly be present and help our guests in any possible way. We are not a fancy hotel, nor a luxury resort, this is a place for authenticity lovers, for those who value simplicity, care, and real human connection.

By staying with us, you’re not just choosing a place to sleep. You’re becoming part of a story that spans generations, rooted in Zambujeira do Mar, shaped by nature, and driven by a genuine love for welcoming others.

We host with care, attention, and a strong human touch.
To ensure the best experience for everyone, some stays may not fit the apartment’s structure or concept, please check the conditions bellow.
When it’s a good match, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Check-in is available between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with an extension until 8:00 PM.

Any arrival after 8:00 PM must be arranged in advance with our staff.

Early check-ins are welcome, subject to availability and prior notice.

Animal are not allowed.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets of any size. Thank you for your understanding.

Within 15 days of check-in: we will reopen the dates for sale
- If the dates are resold, you receive a 100% refund

No. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Hostel Nature, regardless of size, shape, color, type of fur or even planet.

Yes. There is always someone available on site during the day (until at least 6:00 PM), and our team is reachable by phone whenever reasonably needed to support our guests.
No, you have a lot of public spots around the hostel for free, and most of the year they are available without any issue.

Yes, we havea exterior bike stand, no bikes inside the house are allowed.
It’s super safe, but even then we provide extra lockers and a CCTV system recording 24h the place.
No. Hostel Nature facilities are exclusively available to guests with confirmed reservations and check-in.
For everyone’s comfort, safety, and privacy, non-resident visitors are not allowed inside the property.
In cases of misuse or abusive behavior, this policy may result in immediate expulsion without refund.
Unfortunately, no. While we would truly like to accommodate everyone, the building dates back to the 1950s and is not adapted in any way for mobility limitations.
Due to its structure, we’re unable to offer step-free access or accessibility adaptations.

We provide all bed linen, so there’s no need to bring a sleeping bag unless it’s your personal preference.
No. We do not offer female-only dorms.
