OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
“Reservation 10 000 – Free Stay Giveaway”
Organized by Hostel Nature, Zambujeira do Mar, Portugal.
1. Organizer
This promotional campaign is organized by Hostel Nature, located in Zambujeira do Mar, Portugal, hereafter referred to as “the Organizer”.
This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Booking, Hostelworld, Airbnb, or any other platform.
2. Contest Concept
This promotion is a commercial marketing action and does not constitute a lottery or game of chance.
Hostel Nature is approaching its 10 000th reservation since opening.
To celebrate this milestone, we will offer a free stay to the direct reservation that is closest to reservation number 10 000, according to the rules below.
All reservations (direct + platform bookings) count toward the global reservation counter.
3. How the Winner Is Determined
The Organizer maintains a global reservation counter including all reservations from:
Direct bookings (website, email, WhatsApp, in person)
Online platforms
When the global counter reaches reservation nº 10 000, the system will identify:
The first reservation after nº 10 000
That is a direct reservation (not made via a third-party platform or travelling agency)That reservation will be declared the official winner.
If reservation nº 10 000 itself is a direct reservation, it will be considered the winner.
If the reservation immediately after nº 10 000 is made through a platform, the next direct reservation will be selected.
The Organizer’s internal reservation system and timestamp records are final.
4. Prize
The winning reservation will receive:
A free stay of up to 3 nights
Conditions:
Applies to all guests included in the winning reservation
Maximum of 3 nights per person
Applies only to the reservation that qualifies as the winner
Applies to existing reservation dates only
Non-transferable to another reservation or person
Example
If the winning reservation is:
3 guests
7 nights
The prize becomes:
3 guests × up to 3 nights free
Remaining nights stay payable.
5. Payment Handling
If the winning reservation:
Already paid
The Organizer will refund the value of the eligible nights (up to 3 per guest) using the original payment method or bank transfer.
Not yet paid
The reservation will be confirmed and adjusted so that the eligible nights are free.
The winner will receive:
A confirmation email
An official winner email
A call to the registed number to add security and to congratulate the winner
6. Eligibility
To qualify:
Reservation must be made directly with Hostel Nature and to Hostel Nature
Must be valid and all data must be complete
Must not be cancelled before check-in
Must comply with standard reservation policies
Employees, collaborators, or immediate family of the Organizer are not eligible.
7. Announcement of Winner
The winner may be announced:
On social media
On the official website
Inside the hostel
The winner will have the option to:
A) Allow full name publication
B) Allow first name + country (example: Lisa from Germany)
C) Remain anonymous
If no consent is given, only anonymized reference will be used.
8. Privacy & Data Protection
All personal data will be processed according to:
GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679)
Portuguese data protection laws
Data will only be used for:
Reservation management
Contest verification
Prize processing
No data will be sold or shared externally.
9. Cancellation & Changes
If the winning reservation is cancelled:
The prize becomes void
The next eligible direct reservation after nº 10 000 will be selected
The Organizer reserves the right to:
Verify eligibility
Adjust minor rule wording
Cancel the contest in case of fraud or technical error
Any decision made by the Organizer is final.
10. General Conditions
Prize has no cash alternative beyond the refund of paid nights
Non-transferable
Cannot be exchanged for other services
Cannot be applied to past stays
Subject to availability and house rules
11. Acceptance of Rules
By making a reservation during this campaign, participants agree to these official rules.
